Publican Twitter Fest 2k9 and the after math

I did not bear witness to Publican’s grand brunch premiere, but looking at Paul Kahan’s play-by-play Twittering, it sounds like a power nap is in order. Surprisingly, Twittering from the kitchen is not as awful as I predicted. Kahan produced a few gems amid the morning mania, and made me appreciate the fact that I am a patron instead of an employee plagued with behind-the-scene stresses. Read the rest of this entry »

Corned beef and cabbage: A St. Patrick’s Day miracle!

Did you come here looking for St. Patrick’s Day brunch ideas? Seriously? No, really.

Well, depending on what day you plan on getting trashed, there are more than enough options to help you find that one green rise ‘n’ shine that truly says, “I am Irish,” for SPD2K9. While I may not be an expert on shamrocks, Celtic folklore or Riverdance, I do know this: where to track down food at 11:00 in the morning. On that note, please drink responsibly and don’t run me over with your car.
